Father of Pedro and João, I am an economist with a M.Sc. and Ph.D. in Economic Theory from the Department of Economics at The University of São Paulo (FEA-USP), where I also served as Professor. While in the PhD, I was a Visiting Researcher at The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign (UIUC), in the USA. I have extensive experience with Quantitative Methods, particularly those aimed at Impact Evaluation and econometric estimation of economic variables. I have also served as consultant for The World Bank in projects for providing the foundations for the Brazillian Social Policies. Currently, I am a researcher at FIPE - The Institute of Economic Research Foundation - and NEREUS - The University of São Paulo Regional and Urban Economics Lab, Founder of Harpia Analytics and a Consultant for the International Finance Corporation - IFC.
